 UNAIDS As the leading advocate for worldwide action against HIV/AIDS, the global mission of UNAIDS is to lead, strengthen and support an expanded response to the epidemic that will:

 

NASEN dedicated to the creation, expansion and continued existence of syringe exchange programs as a proven method of stopping the transmission of blood borne pathogens, especially HIV, in the injecting drug using community

 

Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) Based at the University of California, San Francisco, CAPS provides information on practical ways to curtail the spread of HIV. Data on needle exchanges and safer sex are included.

 

Project on Harm Reduction in the Health Care System investigates the prescribing and dispensing of sterile injection equipment as one strategy for reducing harm to injection drug users who cannot or will not enter drug treatment.
